General Information and Geography Location: Brașov County (Zărnești, Bran, Moeciu) and Argeș County (Rucăr, Dâmbovicioara). Main Ridge: Approximately 25 km long, oriented in a NE–SW direction. Highest Peak: La Om Peak (also known as Piscul Baciului), with an altitude of 2,238 m. Characteristics: It is the longest and highest limestone ridge in Romania. Biodiversity Flora: Home to over 1,100 plant species, including the famous Piatra Craiului Pink (*Dianthus callizonus*), a strictly local endemic species. Fauna: The area serves as a habitat for numerous mammals, including large carnivores (bears, wolves, lynx) and chamois.
